Announced Kisses

It was a hot summer night and a group of us had met at this little bar that was in a strip mall that are all too frequent in Virginia Beach.

This one was where the bar scene in Navy Seals was filmed.  We had all congregated there as a group after work.

We drank beer and played pool for awhile and introductions were made to those of us who didn't know everyone.

I found myself sitting next to the most beautiful man I had ever laid eyes on.  Blond hair and green eyes, a most glorious combination.

I honestly cannot remember what we talked about, but I do remember that face, and those eyes.  I just leaned on the bar and stared.  He was a fascinating conversationalist, don't get me wrong, but I was just enamored at the time.

Eventually, the evening came to a close, as all evenings must and he walked me out to my car.

As we were saying our goodbyes, he said to me..."I am going to kiss you now."  Seven words made my knees weak.

And kiss me he did.  He took my face in his hands, and pressed his lips to mine.  I had to stand on my tippy toes to meet him.  Then he pulled me in closer and his tongue gently grazed my top lip, making me tremble with desire.  It took no time for my body to be pressed up against his with our tongues exploring, tasting, testing....

It was one of the few times in my life that I have been speechless.  All I could think of was WOW!

Occasionally, you cross paths with someone in life whom you have respect, but as time goes on, you become friends. Such is the case with me and Yabu.  Our initial meeting was at a blog meet in Helen about 7 years ago. He actually had two blogs that I liked and bookmarked. One of those blogs, however, was written by a ghost writer, unbeknownst to me at the time. At that initial meeting, he had a twinkle in his eye, and introduced himself. "Hi, I'm Sam. AKA Yabu." He was a small guy; that surprised me. Like many small people though, he was larger than life. For my part, I was extremely grateful that he didn't perpetuate the misconception that the ghost writer stories were real. They had a very real feel to them, all the more testament to the actual author. For his part, he expressed admiration that I was in the process of getting my teeth fixed. I'm Back!

 Saying that reminds me of all the rappers in the 90s. They were back on every album. Where are they now?  Now it would be appropriate. Anyhoo..social media is fun, but really too inhibiting.  Sometimes you need more than 150 characters to make a point. My Members of the Week series is definitely going to be over here because I need more characters to really do them justice. Plus I missed writing. Something about putting these words out there soothes something in me.   Anyway, that's enough for now.  Stay tuned and holler at me if I haven't updated in a while.

Ponderings

 I enjoy playing video games a little bit.  I'm not a die-hard, but there are a few of the ones that are story-rich, single-player, role-playing fantasy games that I like. I like the people simulator one, too. Any of us that play that one often wonder if we aren't a video game for some omnipotent seeming being that pauses us and deletes stuff and *that* is why we go into rooms and forget why we were there. I started a legacy family today and I set the lifespan setting to long because a legacy challenge is when you play through 10 generations. The next generations will be set on a normal, or short lifespan. The first one starts with pretty much nothing. The rest of the family tree is started with this origin person. That got me thinking about how the lifespans were so long at the beginning of the bible those folks lived 150-plus years. Now we live roughly half of that. Could you imagine if 75 was middle-aged?
